Who we are

18th Grain is a Vancouver-based design studio that creates custom tee markers, yardage markers, plaques, and golf course signs. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or interact with our services.

What we collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, club or course name, and message.
  • Lookbook request: your name, email address, club or course name, and marketing consent preference.

We also collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics, including pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic region. This data does not identify you personally.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or project request.
  • Send you the studio lookbook you requested.
  • Send occasional updates about new work, materials, and studio news — only if you opted in.
  • Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to operate our website:

  • Vercel: website hosting and serverless functions.
  • Resend: transactional email delivery (sends you the lookbook and sends us form notifications).
  • Google Analytics: anonymous website usage analytics.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

Cookies

When you first visit our website, we ask for your consent before setting any cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets analytical cookies that help us see aggregate visitor patterns. If you decline, no tracking cookies are set. You can also disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and lookbook requests for the purpose of ongoing client relationships and project enquiries. If you would like your data removed, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
  • Ask us any questions about how your data is handled.
